# Eulogies

## Purpose

The eulogy or remembrance is the time to acknowledge and affirm the significance of the life lived. It is a time to share treasured memories, quotes, stories, or even your loved one’s favorite jokes. <br>

Eulogies can be intermixed throughout the the service, however, for simplicity, we recommend these remembrances together in one section.

## Ideas

**Include multiple readings or have more than one speaker perform the eulogy**

Eulogies or remembrances can be given by a single speaker or by multiple people. The speakers can be pre-selected or the celebrant can open the floor to anyone who wishes to speak, more spontaneously. We recommend 2-5 speakers selected in advance.

**Use images or other visuals during the eulogy**

Create a slide of images or a slideshow to accompany the eulogy or remembrance. &#x20;
